Rain, rain

Rain, rain go away come again another day!

I don’t know where you are in the country, but if you are in the Southeast you are getting some nasty weather. It started pouring last night and a huge front has swept through the country. This weekend is one free weekend that we are not traveling. I was hoping for sunshine and warm weather, but instead I am stuck indoors with nothing to read. Any book suggestions for me? (please!)

Since it is raining, we have watched movies all day and I wanted to share pictures of what I am looking forward to when the weather is better.

This is Jonathan at are old house in Mobile. We bought a $12 baby pool at Wally World and intended for the dog to use it. Instead, he and I both get in it to beat the heat in Alabama. I think our neighbors were jealous or really irritated. Who cares? We loved it.

Poor Dax! You can almost picture him saying, “Indian giver!”

When we first moved here our friends decided to take advantage of this awesome hill at their house and create a giant slip-n-slide. I am such a scaredy-cat and it took me forever to build up the courage to give it a try!

It was scary, can't you tell?

We plan on replacing the baby pool and redneck it up this summer. (I am sure we will have plenty of friends to join us!) Be looking for those pictures in the future. I expect them to be pretty classy!

  1. Have you read The Help? I haven't read it yet, but I hear it is a great summer read.

  2. I need a new book too! If you really wanted something to do outside, you could go play in the rain when there's no lightning....
